Candela GentleMax Pro Laser
Achieve smooth, beautiful skin...
The Candela GentleMax Pro is the next step in laser-based hair reduction and skin care. Harnessing the power of laser energy, GentleMax Pro penetrates the hair follicle, destroying it at its root while preserving the surrounding skin. GentleMax Pro also works effectively and safely to provide a non-invasive treatment for cosmetic to dermatologic skin conditions such as sun-damaged skin, age spots and freckles. Territory Laser Clinic is proud to introduce Candela medical grade lasers to the Northern Territory. We were the first clinic in the Northern Territory to own and operate Candela lasers and Dermal Therapists' Holly and Stephanie are both Syneron Candela Laser Certified Practitioners.
Smoother skin, free of unwanted hair
Freedom from sun-damaged skin, age spots, freckles, vessels, wrinkles and flushing
Minimal discomfort, minimal downtime
What does the GentleMax Pro treatment feel like?
Laser energy is delivered through a small handpiece, and that energy is absorbed by the skin and converted to heat. Your skin may be pink immediately following the procedure; typically, this lasts from a few minutes to several hours after the procedure.
Are the treatments painful?
The GentleMax Pro system uses a patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™), which prepares the skin for treatment by spraying the upper layers with a cooling burst of cryogen in adjustable durations—milliseconds before and after the laser pulse. DCD helps ensure that GentleMax Pro treatments are as comfortable as they are effective. Cryogen ensures the treatments are safer by drastically eliminating the risk of burns, in comparison to traditional laser and IPL treatments that require the use of clear gel. The GentleMax Pro DCD feature ensures speedier and more comfortable treatments without the mess.
What precautions should I take throughout this process?
Avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks before treatment. Do not bleach, pluck or wax 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatment. Wait until your tan fades before beginning treatment.
How long do GentleMax Pro treatments take, & how many treatments will I require?
Treatment times may vary depending on your specific needs, but treatments can usually be performed in as little as 5 minutes for small areas and under an hour for larger areas. Discuss your specific needs with your practitioner to determine how many treatments you’ll require. As a guide, most patients require on average 6 treatments, however this can vary patient to patient.
Are GentleMax Pro treatments safe, and are there any side effects?
Laser and light-based treatments have been safely used for many years for a variety of medical and cosmetic procedures. All treatment results are individual, but most procedures have a low risk of adverse side effects. In rare cases, some patients experience pigment changes that generally vanish over time.
At Territory Laser Clinic your treatments are being performed by a Darwin's only college-degree and fully qualified Dermal Therapists and IPL/Laser Safety Officers, ensuring potential complications, side effects and risks are kept to a minimum. Holly and Stephanie are also Syneron Candela Laser Certified Practitioners.
Are GentleMax Pro treatments covered by insurance?
Most insurance companies do not offer reimbursement for cosmetic procedures. Please consult your insurance carrier for details.
How much do treatments cost?
Treatment cost depends on the area being treated. Discuss your personal needs with your Dermal Therapist.
